Ko Ko Linn of RSO orders his followers to kill ARSA members

Ko Ko Linn, head of RSO's political wing, was recorded ordering the mass killing of ARSA members after the destruction of the Zero Point camp. Orders included denying funeral prayers for those killed.

The Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO), a previously dormant group seeking to advocate for Rohingya in Myanmar, recently participated in a violent operation and displaced thousands of Rohingya refugees from No Man’s Land. See my article about this here. 

Audio recordings obtained later reveal the group's head, Ko Ko Linn, ordering mass killings of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) members and justifying the murders by saying those who carry them out will be rewarded as martyrs by Allah.  Dhaka Tribune published my article on this today.

In the audio clip, Ko Ko Linn orders his followers to kill members of ARSA, using violent language: “Kill them like the way you kill mosquitoes. Kill them like the way you kill insects.” He further instructs his followers to “drag them from the shelters and kill them by stabbing them”, referring to ARSA or Al Yakin members. He adds, “they don't deserve funeral prayers. They should not be given a funeral shroud.” Ko Ko Linn, who is not a recognised religious leader, justifies the killings in the three-plus minute audio recording, saying “it would not be a sin to kill them, and those who do will be rewarded like martyrs by Allah on the Day of Resurrection.”

The recording raises serious concerns about the RSO's leadership, their increased presence in refugee camps, and their alleged involvement with Bangladeshi security forces. To paraphrase a Rohingya mazhi I spoke to “the Rohingya community is in need of trustworthy advocates to protect them from violence, and Ko Ko Linn's role raises serious questions about the future of the Rohingya community under the RSO.”

 Assalamualikhum Warahamotullahi waborkhatoho

O brothers share my audio clip here in the camps,  everywhere where there are groups.  

O, fathers, brothers, mothers, sisters, the young,  the elderly,  the small, men, women - all of you, you know  who the ARSA supporters are. In each camp, you know  who they are.  At this time,  as RSO has surrounded Zero Point,  ARSA will not be able to come to the camps any longer. In the camps, those who are ARSA-Al Yakin  supporters, find them and take them out and then kill them, kill them, kill them. 

Mothers, sisters, fathers, brothers, kill them all including Mazhis, other Arsa supporters and bad people who are present.  You people in the camps,  you are without food and sleep.  You have hunger and you are thirsty.   Find them. Kill them. In the camps those who are Mazhis, ARSA worldwide are supported  by them. Mazhis are created this way to earn money. You  know better than us.  Arrest them. 

Gather 200 or 400 or 300 or 20 or 50 people as groups and go find them. Find them.  And drag them from the shelters and kill them by stabbing them with knives. Kill them with spears. 

Bury them directly. Don't dress the dead with kafon. Don't bury them in graves. Don't hold their funeral prayer. Understand? 

They don't deserve funeral prayer. They don't deserve the funeral shroud. Got it?  Bury them .
