There are about 200 Rohingya operated rickshaws on Bhasan Char. These rickshaws vary in ownership, with some being rented and others owned outright. Their design is notably distinct: they lack convertible folding hoods and the decorations are more understated, without the hand-painted tin elements typically seen on traditional rickshaws. The construction is also a bit more…rudimentary. Additionally, they offer extended leg room, which is practical for carrying shopping and other items. All images ©Ro Mojibur.
